CHANGES TO BLAZE MARTIAL ARTS – BRACKNELL
As you are aware, Sarah has decided to leave Blaze Martial Arts having been my employee since we opened the school. Therefore, I would like to inform you all that with immediate effect, I will be taking over the teaching at The Blaze Martial Arts School in Bracknell.
Most members know me, and for those who I have more recently been introduced to it’s been a real pleasure getting to know you all. Due to the sudden changes, I felt this would be an ideal opportunity for me to formally introduce myself and to give you some of the back story of how Blaze Martial Arts developed into the successful school it is today. I would like to reassure you, that going forward you will be in the best hands!
My name is Justyn Billingham, and I am the Owner and Founder of the Blaze Martial Arts group. I hold a 6th Dan Black Belt in ‘Kickboxing’, a 2nd Dan Black Belt in ‘The Keysi Fighting Method‘, a Black Belt in ‘Tae Kwon Do’ and have spent the best part of my adult life, the last 33 years studying a variety of martial or sport-based fighting. It would be fair to say that martial arts are my life’s passion and my aim has always been to impart my knowledge and skills to all members of my schools.
Blaze Martial Arts began its life on the 11th June 2002, when my wife Sam and I opened the first Blaze Martial Arts School in Windsor. I started teaching classes for all ages on a Tuesday and Thursday. With the success of this, we opened a further school based in Ascot, running classes on a Monday and Wednesday, and, as demand dictated, we then proceeded to open our third Blaze Martial Arts school based in Bracknell on a Tuesday and Thursday giving Sarah the opportunity to take on the role of teaching at the school. I continue to run and train all students at both Windsor and Ascot, and am very proud to say that all schools remain a success.
So, with the changes and going forward I would like to tell you about my credentials; I am a member of the Martial Arts Hall of Fame, and a former monthly columnist for Martial Arts Illustrated Magazine, the number one best-selling Martial Arts magazine in the UK. For over ten years, I wrote a monthly column and appeared on the front cover a record three times. I have served my time on the tournament circuits travelling all over the country, achieving several titles and I am very proud of my achievement of having represented England on two separate occasions. You can be reassured that the highest standard of training will be taught, as I take over all aspects of running the Bracknell School.
