Reason for starting Blaze
I wanted to start training in either the Martial Art or Boxing environment but didn't like the thought of walking into a room full of people I didn't know. This was not the case at Blaze, from the second I walked through the door I felt at complete ease. The teaching method is excellent, in addition to having a great work out you get to learn all aspects of the Martial Arts as well as Street defence which unfortunately is part of today's life. The great thing about Blaze is that it is up to the individual to decide how hard they want to train and you are in total control of that. You are encouraged to do your best but ultimately it is up to you.
That said the best part is its FUN.
My goals and objectives
As with many others my first goal was to be fit and loose weight, however with everything, as you achieve your goals new realistic ones need to be set so that natural progression is obtainable. My new goals are to keep fit and focus on advancing my knowledge and skills in Kick Boxing. My flexibility is not as good as it should be so this will be my next challenge. I want to reach black belt status with ease and not "just scrap through" and in order to do this it will take dedication and a lot of hard work. Bring it on!!!!
Why I became a coach
When first I started at Blaze I was jealous of the coaches as they showed such enthusiasm and excitement when they spoke to you and I wanted to do the same so when the opportunity to become a coach was offered to me and I accepted without a second thought. I love working with the kids as they are so attentive and love to enjoy themselves and are learning discipline in a fun way. My daughter is a member of Blaze and the sparkle in her eye is awesome, I hope that my child mentality and enthusiasm does the same to others. For the adults it is great to meet different characters and watch them progress with fitness and flexibility. |
